The AC Water
Polo club was brought together in 2008 having a rotating cast
of 15 players with a strong core of 9. Fall 2009 saw 28 people
out to the first night of practice and a regular crew of about
16 people out each night.
The water polo club in Truro and surrounding area is composed
mainly of university aged students from the Nova Scotia Agricultural
College (NSAC), although students from the local high school,
Cobequid Educational Center, and the community college can
attend. Water polo has been a club sport at NSAC since 2008.
During
the fall of 2009, a movement from administration was started
to incorporate the club into Atheltics so that it would be
classifyed a 'club sports team', instead of being a SU club.
Our players have a very diverse background ranging from novice
swimmers to ex-lifeguards and swim team’ers. We are a
co-ed, recreational group meeting twice a week (Tuesday and
Thursday) from 9-10.15pm. In addition to practices, some memebers
visit Halifax to play pick up games. We are always open to
new members, check out the contact us page.
