The NSAC Veterinary Technology Program has received accreditation from the Canadian Veterinary Medical Association (CVMA) in July 2008. The program was thoroughly reviewed by an independent CVMA committee which included a comprehensive site visit in April 2008.The report was positive and NSAC received accreditation for the program.
The VetTech Program is designed to conform to the accreditation standards of the CVMA thus ensuring graduates’ eligibility to write the credentialing examinations of the Eastern Veterinary Technician Association and other provincial registration bodies. Graduates who pass the Veterinary Technician National Exam (VTNE) may become Registered Veterinary Technicians and maintain their RVT status.
