Residence
There’s no better way for your child to get connected
than by living in one of our three residences located on campus.
Trueman, Fraser and Chapman house all offer co-ed living with
the option of same sex sections. These three houses are conveniently
located within a few minutes walk of classes, labs, the library,
the farm and our athletic centre. Residence is a great place
to meet new friends while developing a good study routine.

Each residence includes high speed internet, telephone and
cable hook-ups for your son or daughter’s convenience.
Laundry facilities are available in the basement of each house
and is included in the residence fees. All three residences
offers a lounge where students can hang out to take a break
from studying, kick back, watch some television, or play some
pool with friends.

Each house has a Don of Residence, an adult staff member, who
lives in an apartment in the residence. The Don is responsible
for the supervision of student staff and the quality of student
life in the residence. The student staff consists of six Residence
Assistants (RA’s) per house. The RA’s are fellow
students who are trained to advise and assist residence dwellers.
The RA’s aim to promote mutual respect among residence
students to obtain the maximum enjoyment and benefit from university
life.

When applying to residence, if students know which house they
want to live in, they have the opportunity to request that house
on their application form. If they have a friend who is also
planning on living in residence and they want to live together,
that request can be made too. We want to your son or daughter’s
university experience to be as comfortable and memorable as
possible. Students can also suggest to stay in a room in our
quiet section, which we have in each one of our houses.
