-Services for Faculty and Other Researchers
Activities involved with research project development
and implementation are coordinated through the Research
& Graduate Studies Office:
provides and distributes information on sources of
research funding and the deadlines of grant funding competitions.
assists faculty in the development and submission of
research proposals to funding agencies and in the development
of research contracts.
coordinates the administration of all procedures relating
to the approval of research grants and contracts and assists
faculty in opening new accounts.
assists faculty with managing, protecting, marketing
and commercializing inventions developed at the University.
works with companies, stakeholders and potential sponsors
of research to identify and develop research relationships
with NSAC to further their corporate R&D strategies.
-Services for Graduate Students
The Office acts as the Registry for NSAC Masters Degree
Students:
processing graduate student applications, admissions,
enquiries and student registration.
acts as the initial contact for all graduate student
concerns.
acts as liaison between Dalhousie University and the
NSAC in communicating and ensuring that program procedures
are followed and concerns are addressed.
offers advice and occasionally administrative assistance
for doctoral and masters degree students enrolled at other
institutions who are completing their research at NSAC.
