Step 1—Before Applying
Choosing the Right Program
NSAC offers a broad range of degree and diploma programs in science, agriculture, engineering, business and technology. To find out more about NSAC programs, please contact the Student Recruitment Office at 902.893.3432, toll free at 1.888.700.6722 orvisit our website at

If you are interested in taking a B.Sc. (Agr.) program, you can declare your major now, or wait until second year to notify the Registry of your decision. If you are considering more than one program/major, indicate your preference by numbering the programs 1, 2, 3, etc. in the Program of Study section of the application for admission.
Know the Admission Requirements
Once you have selected a program, make sure you meet the admission requirements. You can find these requirements in our Academic Calendar or online at nsac.ca/reg If you are missing an academic requirement, you may still qualify for admission. Contact the Registry Office for further information.
Step 2—Applying to NSAC
Complete your Application
Fully complete the application form either in paper format or online at nsac.ca/apply. Include all requested information as failure to do so will cause delays in the processing of your application.
SOCIAL INSURANCE NUMBER (SIN)
Provision of SIN is optional, however, NSAC is required to issue T4A slips for all scholarships, bursaries and awards disbursed to students. The SIN must be included on all T4A slips.
Application Fee
Online applications accept payment of the $25 application fee by credit card (Visa or Mastercard only). You can also choose to 'Mail In payment', following instructions shown at the end of the online application submission. Mail in payments can be paid
by cheque (international cheques must be certified), money order, or credit card. An application received without the fee will not be processed until the fee is received.
Apply on Time
Make sure that you know the application deadline for your program.
Canadian Students - The deadline for admission to the Fall semester is August 1st, with the exception of Veterinary Technology, which has a deadline of February 28th and International Food Business program which has a deadline of June 30th.The deadline for admission to the Winter semester is December 1st.
International Students - The deadline for admission to the Fall semester is May 1st, with the exception of Veterinary Technology which has a deadline of February 28th. The deadline for admission to the Winter semester is September 1st.
Send Official Transcripts
Students must arrange for official transcripts from high school and all previously attended post-secondary institutions to be sent directly to the NSAC. Photocopied or scanned documents are not normally acceptable. High school attendees must arrange with their school to have their mid-term marks forwarded to NSAC, followed by final results as soon as they become available. Transcripts not in English should include an English translation. Applications will not be processed until all required documents are received.
English Language Proficiency Testing
If English is not your first language you must provide official results from one of the following standardized tests: TOEFL (minimum 80 on the iBT); IELTS (minimum 6.0).
Assessment of Application
Once your application, application fee, and all official transcripts have been received, your application will be processed.
