“I enjoyed the Technology program for a number of reasons. The variety of courses made the program really very interesting! There is a lot of hands-on experience in the courses within the program, which makes the program fun, and also trains you in valuable skills for summer/future employment. Horticulture is such a broad area, and the NSAC program really allows the student to have some choices and specialize a bit, if that’s what they want.

The professors and other instructors for this program are genuinely interested in two key areas: the students they teach & their progress, and, the material they are teaching; they really put extra effort in which makes all the difference. The classes are small, the atmosphere is very comfortable, and we spent a satisfactory amount of time ‘in the great outdoors.’ I feel so fortunate to have enjoyed the first of my post-secondary experiences, because so many people don’t, or end up dropping what they start because they’re unhappy.

I have had a few very unique summer jobs since I started studying at NSAC, and every year I’ve had several job offers; there is definitely employment out there in this industry. The program at NSAC offers the training in skills you need to be employed at something you can really enjoy. NSAC offers a rather unique program that can be very rewarding on a number of levels for the student.”
