Education at NSAC
NSAC offers both degree and technical studies, and we continue
to be known for our unique program offerings. On-campus greenhouses,
high-tech laboratories, extensive aquaculture facilities, and
a modern farm complex offer students the opportunity to experience
first-hand what they are studying. NSAC is also an excellent
option for students searching for a high-quality undergraduate
degree prior to post-graduate studies in Medicine, Pharmacy,
Law, Education or Master of Science programs.

Graduate Studies
The Master of Science represents a unique cooperative agreement
between Dalhousie University and the NSAC to provide post-graduate
education. Graduate students attend classes at the NSAC and,
on occasion, supplement their program with courses at Dalhousie
University and other recognized institutions.

Are you planning a semester or year abroad? Welcome to Truro,
Nova Scotia, Canada!
If you are currently a student at one of our partner institutions,
then the process of applying for admission, housing, and registration
is different from that of individual applicants. The International
or Exchange Office at your university will be able to assist
you with advice about what is required of you to participate.

Research Facilities
The NSAC campus offers students access to advanced labs, equipment
and facilities, including:
- one of the most advanced aquaculture research facilities
in Canada
- highly specialized research and teaching laboratories
- an innovative 165-hectare farm complex incorporating high-tech
facilities for research and education
- large greenhouses
Academic Computing Services
At NSAC, you're connected....electronically! The campus has
one of the most favourable student/computer ratios (4:1) in
Atlantic Canada. Seven fully supported and networked computer
labs give students campus-wide access to all software, personal
files, and the Internet. Students can also check their email
from any internet enabled location world-wide.
Students also have full ose of the Media Centre, which is complete
with scanners, digital cameras, colour laser printers, and CD
burning technologies.
MacRae Library
The MacRae library helps students acquire strong literary
skills, and competency in locating, reading, evaluating, and
citing appropriate information, whether in traditional library
collections, in information databases, or on the internet. The
NSAC library is a member of Novanet, an on-line catalogue of
materials from many universities and colleges, that allows students
to access and borrow materials from other institutions.
