| With carrot growers spread across three provinces there is a need have them come together each year to hear the latest in production news and research activities. The PCRP, in cooperation with Bragg Lumber Company/Oxford Frozen Foods, organizes various field tours of research plots as well as grower days where growers can meet, talk and get up to date on the latest developments. |

| NSAC holds a open house each year durning late July which gives the community a chance to see what is happening at the College. Each department hosts a display focusing on specific academic programs, research and other interesting agriculture related topics. There are also tours of the farm complex, wagon rides a barbeque lunch and lots of interactive games and displays for children. The PCRP always has great display with lots of carrot treats, highlights of research and a new carrot game every year. |

Agrifest 2004 Agrifest, a celebration of innovations in food production, was held in the first week of August 2004 in the Annapolis Valley, N.S. It was designed to show many interesting stories about innovations in food production, new machinery, new vegetables, consumer trends, and success stories. The PCRP had several displays on a variety of carrot-related topics, including an irrigation set-up, nutrient deficiency display, as well as plots of red, white, purple, and yellow carrots. |
