- Visit the campus sometime before you come in the fall so that you are more familiar with it.
- Take part in orientation activities!!
- Get involved in as much as you can!
- Meet/Introduce yourself to as many people as possible.
- know how to do your own laundry or have lots of clothes to last you until your next visit home
- budget your money so it lasts you all year (know the difference between needs and wants)
- to save money, buy used text books from returning students or share with a student in the same class
- take advantage of AC's free services like tutors
- get involved in everything and meet new people
- bring an internet cord (res doesn't have wireless)
- get to know your profs. (they're here to help you!)
- Your marks are important, but they are not everything! Live while you are here; it doesn't last long!
- If you are struggling with a course, or with life in general, talk to an experienced student or to a professor. Often they've dealt with a similar situation before.
- Take advantage of NSAC Students' Union and the services and activities they offer you.
