NSAC Dal Merger Communications Update
A new campus story has been added to the NSAC Dal Merger website at nsacdalmerger.ca As well, new questions continue to be posted. Please check back regularly for the most up-to-date information.
“How will this impact the student unions?”
Answer: Keeping student leadership informed of the process has been a key component in the merger discussion progress. Following the announcement of merger discussions in May, the ministers of Education and Agriculture and the presidents of NSAC and Dalhousie University met with the president of the NSAC Students’ Union and several other conversations have happened since, including a recent meeting between the NSAC Students’ Union executive and the merger leads from Dalhousie and Government to discuss progress and share thoughts and ideas. Additional in-depth meetings with students’ union executives at both schools are planned for the near future. Student involvement is an important part of campus life at both NSAC and Dal. The NSAC–Dal Merger Project Team fully expects that NSAC will continue to have student representation on campus and have representation as part of the Dalhousie Student Union.

What a beautiful day for a Potato Roll
This year's Great Potato Roll was filled with excitement and anticipation. The potatoes got rolling down Chip Hill at noon with a few spectators there to cheer on their favorite. It was a toss up, or should we say roll up, between Sarah Gatti-Yorke's potato, decorated as a sheep and the winner, Jeff Kay, who won $100.00.
A special thank you is extended to all who purchased and decorated their potatoes and to Jean Lynds and her crew who made sure it was such a great rolling success.
Thank you for supporting the NSAC United Way Campaign 2011.
