Exceptional Student Service Advanced Connections Workshop
July 15, 2011 OR August 15, 2011 - Room #112, Haley Institute, NSAC. At NSAC we want our students to have an exceptional experience at every office or function they attend on campus. When students share with us that the service they receive on campus is less than exceptional, most often it is determined that the situation could have been resolved by improving how units communicate and problem solve together and how we interact with and respond to student day-to-day needs.

Eat Atlantic Challenge 2011
Since 2008, Co-op Atlantic and the region's Co-op stores have organized and sponsored the Eat Atlantic Challenge. This annual event has become an essential component of the local food movement, with highlights including:
+26,000 visitors to the Eatatlantic.ca website
+7,000 food lovers have pledged and told why they love Atlantic food
In 2011, Co-op Atlantic is committed to extending this awareness and interest in local/Atlantic food:
Eat Atlantic Award: Food Product of the Year
As the centerpiece of the Eat Atlantic Challenge 2011, Co-op Atlantic is organizing this new event to help promote the excellent food products created in Atlantic Canada. This consumer-chosen product will help promote our region's food producers and food production industry, especially value-added products from the region.
They are currently encouraging everyone interested in local and Atlantic food to visit eatatlantic.ca or Eat Atlantic Challenge on Facebook to give your suggestions for what product you feel is the region's best. Then, this summer, the Top 10 finalists will be voted on by the public through facebook. The winner will be announced on Eat Atlantic Challenge Day, Thursday, September 1.
Every time you nominate or vote for a favourite food your name is entered in a contest for a $500 gift basket of Atlantic food.
Please help raise awareness of local and Atlantic food by:
- Informing your contacts about the event by forwarding this information to them
- Nominating and voting for your food favourite
- Voting for your favourite finalist this summer
And be sure to watch (and tell others) about the funny new video at www.eatatlantic.ca, Lucien's Eat Atlantic Adventure. It follows the comic character as he discovers that there is more to local food than just maple syrup.
