NSAC Sustainability Pledge
It's easy to start saving the planet.
Each one of us can play a role in addressing climate change by making the commitment to do small things on a daily basis, such as turning off lights or recycling regularly. Your small behaviour changes today will make the planet healthier.
Please sign on to the NSAC Sustainability Pledge. Those who complete the pledge are given the option to receive a beautiful personalized calendar with photos of NSAC and information on environmental activities. NSAC's Sustainability Committee hopes that the students, staff and faculty of NSAC are willing to commit to making changes to help our world. If you sign on today, the world gets better today. Sign up today!

Important Changes to Payroll and Benefits Contact Information
As a result of the government’s review of its human resource functions, there will be changes to administering payroll and benefits as of Monday, Feb.8.
All employee payroll functions previously done by the HR CSUs will be centralized and managed by the Department of Finance. All benefits will be centralized and managed by the Public Service Commission.
What does this mean for you?
Payroll, Department of Finance
-- As of Feb.8, employees may contact the Payroll Client Relations Division for all payroll-related inquiries about pay, submission of time sheets and overtime.
-- Payroll consultants previously located with the HR CSUs will now be located within the Payroll Client Relations Division at the Department of Finance.
-- Telephone numbers for payroll consultants will remain the same. However, e-mail addresses may change. Please check the GroupWise address book for accuracy before sending an inquiry by e-mail.
-- The Payroll Client Relations Division will be located in the CIBC Building at 1809 Barrington Street, Suite 600, Halifax, NS, B3J 3K8. The division may be reached by fax at any of these numbers: 722-5047 and 428-2201.
-- Additional information about the change is being sent to time clerks.
-- Payroll consultants will no longer be the points of contact for resetting ESS passwords. Effective Feb.8, employees may e-mail ESS_PW_Reset@gov.ns.ca to request a password reset. Please include your name and employee ID number with your request.
Benefits, Public Service Commission
-- As of Feb.8, all group benefits inquiries (group life insurance, health and dental) may be directed to the Benefits Division at the Public Service Commission.
-- Inquiries may be made by e-mailing PSCBenefitInquiries@gov.ns.ca or by calling 424-7660.
-- Forms and detailed explanations of benefits are located on the PSC website at gov.ns.ca/psc
-- Completed forms and applications may be sent directly to the PSC at World Trade Centre, 5th fl., 1800 Argyle Street, Halifax, NS, B3J 3N8.
The Public Service Commission and the Department of Finance are making every effort to minimize the impact of this move on client service. These changes are being made to serve our employees better. If you have any questions about these changes, please contact Christine Adams at 424-3195 or ADAMSCF@gov.ns.ca.
Sincerely,
Kelliann Dean, Public Service Commissioner
Vicki Harnish, Deputy Minister of Finance
