Recruitment Update
Hello!
Since our last update, our team has been working on several on- and off-campus projects to help our prospective students and their families make their post secondary decisions. As planned, Ashley and I are working on a strategy to assist students from New England make the transition to NSAC and Janet is continuing her work with New Brunswick and PEI students.
We are currently in our "Road Show" schedule where our team works with our local high schools to meet with the guidance office, principals, First Nations and African Canadian co-ordinators and other student service team members. Ashley and Janet are also scheduling Independent visits to our top 50 High Schools, while Brian and I concentrate on our international recruitment schedule, taking him to India and me to Colombia.
Our Recruitment and Promotions Committee met to discuss and plan off-campus events such as January Thaw, Aquaculture Association AGM, Small Farm Expo, Salt Scapes, International Potato Expo, Canadian Farm Business Management Council Conference, Mi'Kmaq Maliseet Atlantic Youth Council Conference 2010, and NB Ag Alliance AGM, to name a few. With many thanks, each event will be represented by one of our Committee members.
At this time, I would like to remind campus that University Day will be held on Monday, March 1. For those who are helping, I will be sending expo registration forms and itineraries for the day.
Please remember that Grade 12 students are in the "decision mode" and that we are working hard to bring as many prospective students to campus for personal attention. If you know of a grade 12 student, please pass along our information as NSAC could be the perfect fit for them.

Campus Haiti Relief Donations
To the campus community:
I thought that it might be within our means to come together and make a donation to the Red Cross for the people suffering in Haiti. If we, as a whole, donate what we can than we will feel like we can indeed make a difference.
I hope everyone will participate. The Red Cross is accepting cash donations and that money will buy medical supplies, emergency shelters, food and water.
The Federal Government has announced that it will match contributions that are made.
If you are interested in making a donation, they will be accepted until Jan.22 and delivered to the Red Cross for distribution. Donations can be made to the following people:
Gizele Mazerolle - Environmental Sciences
Marianne Clark - Plant Science
Lynn Sibley - Registry
Theresa Blois - Cumming Hall
Marilyn Roberts - Animal Science
Many thanks for your support of this worthy cause,
Donna Jamieson
