Early Stage Commercialization Fund Awarded to NSAC
Nova Scotia Agricultural College has been awarded nearly $42,000 from Innovacorp in support of two important research projects led by Drs. Zaman and Rupasinghe.
Innovacorp’s Early Stage Commercialization Fund helps move Nova Scotia university and community college research to market by assisting the academic community in the pursuit of commercialization opportunities.
Dr. Richard Donald, vice president of research, extension and outreach at NSAC, welcomed the investment. “Problem solving research that addresses the leading issues facing agriculture is critical to the future sustainability of the industry,” he said. “We are grateful to Innovacorp for investing in two of NSAC’s leading researchers.”

Hello From Recruitment!
As a follow-up to the Program Open Houses that were held on November, recruitment will be hosting "NSAC Student-For-A-Day, You Choose The Day!" event. During the month of February, prospective students will have another opportunity to visit campus. They will buddy up with a Student Ambassdaor/Student Leader for the day.
The student will have the opportunity to join them in their classes, dine in the cafteria, receive a campus tour and meet our Student Services Staff. Online registration for this event will begin the first week of January. Recruitment always appreciates the continuous support received by the entire campus when hosting events like this!

Smartcard News
In addition to cash loaders available in the MacRae Library and Cox Institute, there is now a convenient web revalue option for Smartcard available.
Using a valid credit card you can add money to your Smartcard account by going to: https://smartcard.nsac.ca. The new Smartcard website also allows you to view current account balances, a history of your transactions, current meal plans if applicable, or suspend your card (if lost).
This site requires you to login using your seven digit client/student id (e.g. 0054321) and a personal PIN which has been set to your birthdate in MMDDYY format (e.g. Dec 29, 1985 is 122985). We recommend that you go to this site and change your PIN as soon as possible. Keep this PIN secure as it provides you with another level of security for your Smartcard account.
In January all campus print release stations will be modified to require your new PIN.
If you have any questions please contact the Registrar's Office (email: reg@nsac.ca phone: 893-6722).
Happy Holidays!
