Congratulations!
Congratulations to NSAC Plant Science Master Program student Navratan Bahia on receiving the Best Poster Award at the annual meeting of Canadian Phytopathological Society. The meeting was held at Atlantic Food and Horticulture Research Centre in Kentville on Nov.26. Navratan’s poster title was ‘Gibberellic acid (GA3) mediated disease susceptibility to Sclerotinia sclerotiorum in Arabidopsis thaliana’. Navratan’s supervisory committee members are Drs. Hong Li, Samuel Asiedu, Bruce Gray and Balakrishnan Prithiviraj.

Scholarship Spotlight
Five $2,500 Renée Covill Scholarships Presented at NSAC
Prof. Carol Goodwin, Environmental Sciences Department and a member of NSAC’s Scholarship Committee, is shown congratulating students who received a $2,500 Renée Covill Scholarship at NSAC’s Scholarship Banquet. The scholarships are awarded to students who gave course and project work that reflect a commitment to environmental issues and career interests in growing plants (including farming). Selection criteria are academic performance, financial need and career plans.
