Video Crew on Campus Wednesday

A video crew will be on campus on Wednesday, Nov. 4, to shoot general campus imagery for a project we are doing with Nova Scotia's brand, Come to Life. The film footage will be used in television spots and online creative positioning Nova Scotia as the University Capital of Canada.
This is a professional crew that will manage all issues related to video consent and the like. They will be shooting what's referred to as b-roll (landscape and general campus shots with only ambient audio), no on-camera interviews will be conducted. If you happen to run into the crew, please provide a warm welcome and feel free to let them know where they can capture the most beautiful vistas on our campus.
Also visit pomegranatephone.com to check out some of Nova Scotia's other beautiful locations and intriguing stories.

H1N1 Vaccine Clinic Update
As you are most likely aware, there has been a change to Nova Scotia’s immunization strategy because of national vaccine supply issues.
Starting this Monday, Nov. 2, the H1N1 vaccine will be limited to those most at risk from the virus. These are:
- Pregnant women
- Children younger than five (from six months to 59 months)
- People living in First Nations communities
- Health-care workers in district health authorities, long-term care facilities and home-care agencies who provide direct care to patients. This includes family physicians, family practice nurses, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
Due to this change, the clinics planned for provincial government employees on Nov. 5 and Nov. 10 in Halifax have been postponed. We hope to reschedule the clinics for government employees in the near future and will let you know as soon as we are advised.

Halloween at NSAC
On Friday, Oct. 30, the staff in Financial Services had a "Halloween Party". Staff participated by wearing black and/or orange and everyone contributed to the goody table. By mid-morning, sweets were being consumed, so sugar levels ran high all day. Wanda MacDonald really got into the spirit by dressing up in pumpkin inspired clothing. However, by days end she was short a few feathers.
A great day was had by all and they even had some visitors from another department drop by. Great team spirit!
