Recruitment Update
This week we are interviewing for our summer co-op student
position. Over the summer we work on communications, promotional
materials, our website and attend agricultural functions.
This is a perfect fit for a public relations or business
student.
This summer we will focus on Zinch.com, a website and brochure
for parents and supporters, Orientation, Open House, Campus
Tours, International Student Outreach, and planning our
fall schedule. We will also participate in the Provincial
Exhibition, Apple Blossom Festival, and Ag Zone.
Last weekend, Janet Walker and Carollyn Crewe attended the
Equine Review in Sussex, NB. Thank you Carollyn for bringing
in more prospective student names.
Janet has been giving tours to prospective students. Ashley
has been working with our ambassadors, the NSAC Student
Leadership Program, and Student Success Program. It is now
time to gather reports and set a plan for the coming year.
This weekend we will help NSISP bid farewell to close to
500 International students who have been studying in the
province. Ashley and some of our ambassadors will attend
the year end event where Ashley will present a scholarship
to one of our new students, Jae Ho Choi from Cobequid Educational
Centre. Janet will judge contests and give tours at the
Provincial 4-H events happening on campus.
I continue to work on recruitment management projects and
am preparing for our trip to New England, May 18th - 25th.
Ashley and I will meet with several prospective students,
FFA advisors, newly admitted students and their families.
I will continue to send newly admitted student files to
department heads and program advisors so we can contact
them over the summer.
Until next time,
Monica
