This edition focuses on H1N1 influenza and how to protect
yourself. We also give a brief overview of business continuity
management. Further information will follow at a later date.
As you know, while my name appears on the articles, I certainly
don't do this alone. I'd like to take a quick moment to thank
some of the folks that helped us get this edition together:
our communications team, especially Susan Mader-Zinck for making
the text sound like English and for being the subject of our
cover photo; Dr.Grant Spearman and Dr. Rob Kerr at Hancock;
Dr. Rob Strang at HPP; Jim Coe, Dennis Kelly and Bruce Rands
at
EMO; our food safety folks (especially Sean O'Toole),
for providing a sounding board and suggestions; Suzy Farmer
managing the printing; Angela Irons
for
distributing; Cheryl Kienzle for
publishing the web version in record time and lastly our executive,
(especially Diane) for supporting the initiative. We hope you
find the information useful and welcome
