Bookstore Closure
The bookstore will be closed from July 13th to 22nd. It will be reopening on Open House day, July 23rd. The bookstore will also be closed July 27th to 28th. If you need anything please contact Heather Dawson at hdawson@nsac.ca or 893-2635.
Looking for Peddle Tractors
Open House is rapidly approaching and we are looking for donation/loans of peddle tractors for the obstacle course that will be taking place at Open House. If you are interested in donating or loaning a peddle tractor please contact Jean Lynds at 893-6676 or jlynds@nsac.ca.
NSAC Alumni & Staff Family BBQ
All staff and alumni are invited to bring their families for good food, music and laughter at an NSAC appreciation BBQ. We hope you and your family can join us after a fun-filled day at Open House for the BBQ!

Innovation Fund 
The Innovation Fund is a new program that supports and promotes a market-oriented, consumer-driven agriculture industry by investing in initiatives that will improve the competitiveness and profitability of Nova Scotia's agriculture, agrifood and agri-based product sector. The objectives of the fund for 2009 to 2010 are to:
- Support the development and adaptation of new and leading agricultural technologies;
- Improve on-farm and post-farm profitability and competitiveness;
- Accelerate the pace of innovation, and advance the commercialization and adoption of agri based technologies, products and processes;
- Increase industry's ability to anticipate, identify, develop and capture new market opportunities.

Welcome
Please welcome Laurence Nason as he begins his new role as the Executive Assistant for Agriculture and Natural Resources. Many of you may be familiar with Laurence in his position as Executive Director of the Nova Scotia Federation of Agriculture, where he led the organization for approximately 15 years. For some time, Laurence also owned and operated a successful Nova Scotia farming and forestry operation. Laurence will be tapping into his in-depth knowledge of Nova Scotia’s agricultural industry, in his new role in the Department of Agriculture.
Farewell
Jo-Anne Jordan
After 19 years of dedication, hard work and laughter at NSAC, Jo-Anne Jordan is taking a new step in her career. Jo-Anne is the new Executive Assistant to the Superintendant at the Chignecto Central Regional School Board. She will finish at NSAC on Friday, July 17th.
