March Wellness
Tip
Healthy Travel
Avoid raw vegetables and fruits that can't be peeled, as they
may have been washed in contaminated water. Unpasteurized milk
and cheese can also cause infections. Since it's hard to know
what's pasteurized and what isn't, doctors recommend avoiding
dairy products altogether on short trips to developing countries.
Hot cooked food is usually safe.
Reminder of the New Business Card Order Process
To make the process of ordering business cards smoother and
quicker for everyone, a new online form has been created. The
form requests all relevant information including a PO number,
the quantity required and the delivery location. The information
will first go to Marketing to ensure there are no glaring
mistakes and then go to the printer for layout. Before the
cards are printed, a proof will be sent to you to ensure the
artwork and information is correct. The form can be accessed
at:

Flags to be Flown at Half-mast
The flags will be flown at half-mast to honour the passing
of two former NSAC / NSDA employees.
On Saturday, Mar. 8, the passing occurred of Grace E. Jardine
at Colchester Regional Hospital, following a heart attack.
Grace worked for the Department of Agriculture for 22 years,
finishing her career in the Queen's Print office in Cumming
Hall in the late 1980's. Grace will be remembered for her kindness
and generosity and her excitement for a big "6/49" win
for the Cumming Hall crew. Visitation will be held tonight,
Monday, Mar. 10, in Our Lady's Chapel of Immaculate Conception
Church, from 7p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held in Immaculate
Conception Church on Tuesday, Mar. 11 at
11 a.m.
On Sunday, Mar. 9 the passing occurred of Mr. William (Bill)
Mathewson, Professor Emeritus, at Colchester Regional Hospital,
following a stroke. Mr. Mathewson taught for many years in
the Department of Animal Science, specializing in sheep production.
He retired in 1989 but stayed active in the sheep production
industry. His expertise and willingness
to share his knowledge will be sorely missed. Visitation will
take place from 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 12 at St.
James Presbyterian Church, with a funeral service to follow
on Thursday,
Mar 13 at 2 p.m., also from St. James Presbyterian Church.
