We believe everyone at NSAC has a major role to play in improving
and enhancing the student experience on our campus. We know,
from our students, that we need to improve in specific areas
if we want to maximize the student experience. Our students
have told us a lot of the issues with student experience on
campus can be resolved by improving how units communicate and
problem solve together, as well as how we interact with and
respond to the day to day needs of students.
The Advanced Connections program has been on our campus for
three years and is one of the leading quality service training
programs in North America. We believe the large number of faculty
and staff that participated in this program has made an enormous
difference to how we interact and serve our students. Due to
an overwhelming
response Enrollment Management is offering
more Advanced Connections sessions this summer.
It is our hope that faculty and staff will prioritize time
over the next few weeks to participate in one of the quality
interaction and service training sessions being offered by
Enrollment Management. By bringing faculty and staff together
to interact and dialogue collaboratively about the quality
of our interactions and service towards students we are moving
in the right direction of improving life on campus for all
those who make NSAC their institution of choice!
About the Advanced Connections Program
Advanced Connections will allow participants to discover and
further develop theirs trengths in terms of dealing with students,
as well as determine areas where improvement can be made. Participants
will learn how to better work and communicate with individuals
across campus to provide a positive and memorable experience
for students. Most importantly, participants will be able to
take key messages with them that can be implemented and applied
right away. We can promise that all participants will find
the training session interactive, fun and extremely beneficial.
We have excellent facilitators lined up – our very own
faculty and staff.

Daycare Application Process
NSAC staff and students are given priority over non staff
and students when it comes to enrolling their child(ren) in
NSAC Daycare. The daycare is currently operating at capacity
with a waiting list for September 2008. Staff or students who
wish to have their child enrolled in the program are asked
to fill out an application form and drop it by the centre.
The form is available on line by following the links under
student services or by stopping by the daycare Monday to Friday,
7:30a.m. - 5:30p.m. Please direct any inquiries to the Manager,
Janet Savary, at extension 6501 or by email.
We make every effort to accommodate staff and students at the

Local Elementary Student Takes Interest in APRC
Falynn Maxner a grade six student at Red Cliff Middle School
recently participated in the Regional Science Fair where she
presented her project on the Atlantic Poultry Research Center.
In order to participate at the regional level, Falynn had to
come first in her grade before being able to move on. Falynn’s
project consisted of a display and a ten page report which
she did the research for and wrote herself. During the competition
she was required to present her project to
the judges without notes! Congratulations Falynn!
