Tree Dedication for Deborah (Debbie) Aileen Musgrave
An invitation is extended to all faculty, staff, students,
family and friends of Debbie Musgrave to attend a tree dedication
service in Debbie’s memory.
A magnolia tree has been planted in Alumni Gardens to remind
us of Debbie’s life and her contributions to the
veterinary community. The memorial plaque will be laid
during the tree
dedication.
The tree dedication will be on Saturday,
June 28 beginning at 1p.m. at NSAC’s Alumni Gardens
(immediately to the right of the Gardens entrance). Chairs
will be available for
seating. If it is raining it will be held in the gazebo in
Alumni Gardens. Click
here for directions to NSAC campus. Also,
a campus map listing Alumni Gardens as number eight can
be accessed here.
Parking is located immediately to the front of the gardens.
Retirement Update
Congratulations to Bonnie Waddell who is retiring on July
31, 2008. Bonnie began her NSAC career in 1985 as reference
librarian
and later
moved into the chief librarian position. Bonnie has been
instrumental in numerous library and campus initiatives through
the years,
such as spearheading the initial automation project for the
library's catalogue, and most recently, the creation of the
Information Commons.
The MacRae Library staff invites all faculty, staff and students
- present, retired or graduated to a celebration of this
occasion, on July 18 from 2 p.m - 4 p.m. in the MacRae
Library.
Refreshments will be served.
Graduation Memories
Many high school graduations have taken place over the past
week, and in turn many pictures have been taken. Alumni Garden
and the Rock Garden here on NSAC campus have both served
as the backdrop for beautiful photos.
Below is a picture take this
past Monday evening in the Rock Garden. Congratulations to
all 2008 graduates!

NSAC Staff and Faculty Say Farewell to Dr. Rob Gordon
Deputy Minister Paul Lafleche, NSAC faculty and staff gathered
in the Cumming Hall foyer on June 24 to wish Dr. Rob Gordon
farewell. Rob thanked everyone for coming and shared a few
memories from his twenty years of working with the NSDA (Nova
Scotia Department of Agriculture) and NSAC. Rob leaves NSAC
for a new position as Dean of Ontario Agricultural College
(OAC) in August. The co-presidents, the deputy, and Mr. Jim
Goit, and Dr. Peter Harvard, said a few words on behalf of
the university
and the department. Rob’s energy and enthusiasm will
be missed; however, it is certian that he will do great things
in his new position.

Rob is presented a small gesture of the NSAC's thanks
titled "NSAC: Defenders of the Biosphere".
