Visit to FAFU
Dr. Gefu Wang-Pruski and Dr. Kris Pruski have returned from
their trip to Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (FAFU)
in Fuzhou, China. For five weeks, they were teaching graduate
courses in molecular biology, genomics, plant physiology and
plant propagation at FAFU. Gefu also taught the second year
biochemistry course for the 2+2 program. During their visit,
Dr. Kris Pruski was granted a FAFU adjunct professor title
(see the attached photo). Dr. Wang-Pruski has been FAFU’s
adjunct professor since 2002. Also, both Gefu and Kris have
been appointed by Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences (FAAS)
as adjunct research professors.

Orientation 2008 - “Take the Challenge”
To all NSAC Staff & Faculty:
You are invited to a BBQ lunch meeting about Orientation!
We really hope you will join the NSAC Orientation Committee
and Student Union for this great event.
We hope everyone is enjoying their summer and this
beautiful weather! As you are aware
August is almost here and September is just around the corner.
With these months come classes, students and Orientation.
This is one of the most important weeks of a student’s
university experience, as well as one of the most valuable
times NSAC has
to make a great impression on new students and their families!
This year our theme is “Take the Challenge” and
that’s just what we’re hoping you, as a staff or
faculty will do! Some of the events this year are based around
staff and faculty participation in hopes that we can get some
really great interaction between the incoming class and the
people that they will be interacting with for the next two-four
years. We feel that this year’s theme is an important
one as we hope that everyone at NSAC “Takes the Challenge” to
get involved and be active in the university community.
Please join us on Thursday, August 14 at 11a.m. in the Riverview
Room of Jenkins Hall (BBQ outside the Riverview Room) to learn
more about these events and how you can make this year’s
incoming class feel more welcome than ever at NSAC!
Agenda:
•
Take a look at the schedule, the Orientation booklet and
see some of the exciting changes that we’re making
to Orientation.
• Find out how you can get involved.
• Find out why you should get involved.
Hope to see you there!
