Visiting Colleagues from Ethiopia
NSAC would like to take this opportunity to welcome two visitors
from the Jimma University College of Agriculture and Veterinary
Medicine (JUCAVM) in Ethiopia to our campus. Dr. Kaba Urgessa
Dinssa (Natural Resource Department and president of Jimma
University) and Mr. Befekadu Bulti Lemu (Crop Science Department
and department head). They will be on campus for a six week
period which began on June 29, in association with
the Agricultural Sustainability Project in Ethiopia. While
here,
our
colleagues will be taking part in training sessions featuring
the expertise of various members of NSAC’s faculty and
staff; touring local agricultural facilities, events and businesses;
as well as exploring the general agricultural atmosphere of
Canada’s Maritime region.
The project is funded in part by the Government of Canada
through the Canadian International Development Agency’s
Canadian Colleges Partnership Program. Significant contributions
are made by NSAC and JUCAVM.
For further information, please contact Jeanine Cudmore at
NSAC International by e-mail or
at 896-2453, or Dr. Tess Astatkie, project director, by e-mail or
at 893-6694.

through the years, such as spearheading the initial automation
project for the library's catalogue, and most recently,
the creation of the Information Commons.
The MacRae Library staff invites all faculty, staff and students
- present, retired or graduated to a celebration of this occasion,
on July 18 from 2 p.m - 4 p.m. in the MacRae Library. Refreshments
