Upcoming Staff Retirement
The Registry Office is announcing the upcoming retirement
of Brenda Fisher. Brenda started at NSAC in July of
1965. During her many years of service, she worked as departmental
secretary in the Plant and Animal Science Department as
well
as the Registry Office administrative assistant. In lieu
of a campus reception, at Brenda’s request, the Registry
Office is putting together a “memory box” which
can include cards, e-mails, letters, notes, photos, favorite
recipes, etc.. Please send these along to Elizabeth Johnson,
Registry Office, by May 24.
Nova Scotia Agricultural College Act Receives Second Reading
Bill 107, the Nova Scotia Agricultural College Act, recieved
second reading on Thrusday, April 24. You can read all

Chartwells Food Service Hours of Operation
Our dining hall cafeteria service will be available for the week
of May 5 - 10. Our hours of operation are: breakfast 7 a.m. -
8:30 a.m., lunch 12 p.m. -1 p.m. and supper
5 p.m.- 6 p.m. Cox's Cupboard in Cox Institute will also be open this week from
8 a.m. - 1 p.m. daily.
As always, our catering services are available with 48 hours notice for breaks & lunches
and one week notice for larger events. Please feel free to call us at 897-1952.
Upcoming National Poetry Month Celebration
The Rural Research Centre is partnering with a local business
to celebrate National Poetry Month. Readings and performances
by Maureen Hull of Pictou
Island, NS, and Goran Simic of Sarajevo and Toronto
will take place 7 p.m. this Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at the
gallery/studio of Thrown Together Pottery & Art,
37 King Street, Truro. All are welcome. Funding support
has been given from SSHRC, League of Canadian Poets and Canada
