NSAC's Templates
A number of templates have been created to help departments
create promotional materials. These templates help departments
avoid the cost of using a designer while maintaining the consistency
of the university's graphic elements.
The series of templates provided include a PowerPoint
template, a fact sheet, a brochure and a poster. To view these
templates, please visit nsac.ca/development/marketing/graphicstandards/templates.asp. If
you need assistance, please contact Sarah Morris at smorris@nsac.ca or

The AIC Accreditation Program
The
Agricultural Institute of Canada (AIC) Accreditation Program
was initiated in 1998 at the request of the Confederation of
Canadian Faculties of Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine.
Agrology, like other professions, is a learned occupation with
specialized skills, distinct functions and social obligations.
Certification of an agrologist, as is done by provincial institutes
of agrology, is a means to ensure that professional agrologists
meet the rigorous standards of their profession. Such certification
is made possible by the accreditation of the programs that
agrologists take at universities and colleges. Accreditation
ensures that graduates from these faculties meet the academic
and registration requirements established by the various provincial
institutes of agrology.
Incoming AIC Vice President Susan Simpson presented Dr. Leslie
MacLaren, NSAC Vice President Academic with a Certificate of
Accreditation during the 2007 Scholarship Banquet on October
25th, 2007.
Pumpkin Carving

Farewell to the Poultry II Building
Last week marked the end of a long-standing facility at NSAC.
The Poultry II building was used to house the meat and replacement
flock at NSAC. The new flock is now held at the Atlantic Poultry
Research Centre, which opened May 30, 2007. The site of Poultry
II will be turned into the future home of the Chute
Animal Nutrition Centre.

News from IT
Starting November 2007, IT Services staff members will be
conducting wireless surveys of all major buildings on campus.

A recent addition to our team, Brandon Polley will be leading
the wireless survey project and conducting the majority of
the surveys. If you see Brandon walking the halls be sure to
