"Agriculture
in The Gambia" Open House Seminar
During the NSAC Open House on Thursday, July 26, there will
be a special presentation taking place in the Alumni Room of
Cumming Hall from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm by Foday Malang, faculty
member of The Gambia College. Foday is visiting the NSAC in
connection with The Sustainable Food Security Project and will
be talking about “Agriculture in the Gambia”. Staff,
faculty and any visitors are invited to attend this unique
opportunity!
John Adsett’s Retirement
The Department of Engineering invites everyone to a retirement
celebration for Dr. John Adsett and his family on Tuesday,
July 31st, from 11:30 am - 1:30 pm, in Alumni Gardens. There
will be live music and refreshments. In the event of bad weather,
the festivities will take place in Banting.

John, who was a student
here for the first two years of his Engineering Degree, returned
as Faculty in 1986.
New Communications Path to Fur Unit
The fibre and phone cables that run between Fur Unit and Poultry
II building will be relocated. Phone services will be down
in the morning of July 31st for approximately 2 or 3 hours
and data service will be disconnected for most of the day.

Media Tracking for NSAC
The Development and External Relations office keeps track
of all references to Nova Scotia Agricultural College in
the media to gauge effectiveness of our campaigns. During the
past year there were 716 references to NSAC or Nova Scotia
Agricultural College; 675 in Canadian Press and 41 in International.
The large spike at week 16 of 2007 is due to media reference
to us around Virginia Tech.
