Steven
Dukeshire
Steven Dukeshire is an Assistant Professor in the Department
of Business and Social Sciences. Steven graduated from Middleton
Regional High School in the Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia and
completed his undergraduate degrees in Business and Psychology
at Saint Mary's University before going to the University of
Waterloo to take a Master of Applied Science in Industrial/Organizational
Psychology and my PhD in Social Psychology. The focus of my
PhD research was on human decision making and health behaviour.
My interest throughout graduate school was to apply human behaviour
principles to "real world" issues, particularly with
the goal of changing human behaviour to improve health and wellness.
Congratulations are also extended to Gabriella Zilahi-Balogh
who was welcomed in Monday's E-Bulletin as our new Wild Blueberry
Entomology Chair. Gabriella has accepted a new permanent research
position which will take her closer to home, family and friends
in British Columbia. We here at NSAC are sorry to lose Gabriella
but wish her all the best.
Peer Tutoring
The peer tutoring program assists many of our students in a
wide variety of courses. Used widely in the first year chemistry
and calculus courses, as well as other courses throughout the
degree program, the program is also a great opportunity for
our very talented students to earn a few extra dollars.
On an annual basis we revise and improve on the process of
advertising, selecting , monitoring and assigning tutors. This
year the ad for tutors has been posted and we will be asking
applicants to supply references from instructors. We also may
be asking for instructors to help recruit students for courses
for which we have no applicants and/or verify academic capability.
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact
Judy (7915) or Lorie (2463) in Student Services.

Needed: Older Palm PDA
Do you have an older Palm PDA that I can borrow? I am developing
some software for wildlife biologists to use in the field on a
Palm PDA, and I need to test this on some older models. Specifically,
I am looking for Palm III's and Palm V's. I would only need to
borrow it for a while. Please email me at vnams@nsac.ca.
