2006 Frosh Schedule
With August under way, it is a great time to make this year's
Frosh Week Schedule available for everyone to view. Before long,
the new students will arrive on campus, with open-minds and
lots of questions. We hope that this schedule will help you

Farewell to Visiting Ethiopian Scholars
You are cordially invited to a Closing Ceremony in honor of

Recruitment Update
Hello!
Well, it’s here - the thinking cap is on and I’m
in September mode! We’ve been working hard to ensure that
all of our material is up to date and ready for the fall tour
schedule. Nick Marchand has agreed to return as our third recruiter
and we’re quite happy about that!
In lieu of getting the ball rolling, Aquaculture has participated
in a photo shoot, and I must thank Sarah again for working her
magic! The photos are great and I do encourage all departments
to have a look at them! The cost was minimal and the impact
of using these pictures to sell the program will be great!
On Friday, Craig, Mark Mason and I hosted a breakfast for guidance
counselors from New England. The breakfast was wonderful - thanks
Julie! We had a great two hours, where we discussed American
students attending NSAC, presented a slide show and gave a tour
of our wonderful campus.
On the horizon, a new ESL Science camp will be taking place
in the next few weeks and once again, we’re preparing
ourselves. Thanks to the TAG who are helping out this time around!
See you around campus, and if you have any great pictures you’d
like to submit for recruitment purposes, please feel free to
email them to me at any time.
Monica
Photo of the Week

Although at first glance, this picture may seem to show a group
of itinerant musicians performing at the recent NSAC Open House.
However, it is actually a demonstration of the co-operative atmosphere
that surrounds everyone at the NSAC - Laurie Sandeson, manager
Agritech Park; Marthin Nanere, visiting researcher from La Trobe
University, Australia; Greg Bishop, Assoc. Prof., Engineering
Dept. and Gordon Tucker, performer, sound technician and graduate
(BMus) of our sister institution, Dalhousie University.
