Help raise awareness of NSAC
As you might know, NSAC has an aggressive awareness-building
and prospect-attracting campaign out in the market now. Marketing
is still putting together some evaluation of campaign results
thus far but the early indicators are showing some great success.
Why not help out by raising the profile of our campaign with
your own daily contacts? Simply include a teaser statement and
a hotlink to the campaign in your signature at the bottom of
your e-mail. Here's how: In your Novell e-mail
system, click Tools/Options/Environment and click on the signature
tab. Enter in your name and contact info (if you haven't done
it already) and at the bottom, include one of the following
notes:
Should you be afraid of old bones?
To find out, visit www.nsac.ca/bones
OR
Is there such a thing as aliens on earth?
To find out, visit www.nsac.ca/aliens
OR
Is there a potion that will make someone fall in love with
you?
To find out, go to www.nsac.ca/love
OR
Is there such a thing as a magic wand?
To find out, go to www.nsac.ca/wand
The url you enter will automatically become a hotlink in your
messages. This is a great way to help spread the word that NSAC
is a one-of-a-kind applied science university. A group of some
of our best scientists tackled these age-old questions as a
way to show how applied science can be brought to bear on virtually
any question about our world. What a great way to promote the
power of applied science and our ingenuity in teaching it!

The NSAC Noticeboard has been Replaced
In an effort to be more efficient and allow for more flexibility
in posting of campus notices and message, the NSAC Noticeboard
is being replaced by the self-serve NSAC Noticeboard and Message
Forum.
People wishing to post notices may do so by registering for
an account. The posts are open for everyone on the Internet
to read but only those registered will be able to post messages.
Accounts will be given to anyone with an NSAC e-mail account
who registers. A registration approval process by the board
administers is necessary to prevent unauthorized use and spam,
Approval time will generally be less than 24 hours. Posters
will be able to modify and delete their own posts.
This new Noticeboard and Message Forum greatly expands the
possibility for communication within NSAC. We’ll run the
forum as a trial and then make changes and add categories as
we need to. You will find the new NSAC Noticeboard and Message
Forum at http://nsac.ca/forums/
