First year International Food Business student, Sam Fanning was named ACAA Athlete of the Week for women’s volleyball.
As a rookie, Sam has stepped into a starting role with the Rams and has had an immediate impact. With two teammates presently injured, Sam has taken a major leadership role and this past week, she was instrumental in two wins – vs Holland College where she had six kills, one service ace, 13 digs and 18 service receptions and versus Universite Ste Anne where she had 14 kills and two service aces.
Sam is a graduate of the Cobequid Educational Centre and their girls volleyball program coached by Bob Piers, perennial Nova Scotia School Athletic Foundation contenders.
