NSAC Hitting the Road
NSAC’s new bus has arrived on campus and will soon
be hitting the roads. The bus has been wrapped with marketing
artwork on all sides, including the top, to give NSAC visibility
in local communities and beyond when transporting teams
to athletic events and students for field study.
The bus features larger than life representation of two
NSAC students, NSAC’s logos, tag line, website and
a complete list of our programs. From the front, back, sides
and even the top people will recognize NSAC coming.
The two students featured were chosen to represent NSAC
because of their commitment to the university and the community.
Modou
Camara has one semester left in the B.Sc. (Agr.) program.
He is majoring in Animal Science with a minor in Aquaculture.
Camara is an international student from The Gambia, West
Africa and plays on NSAC’s men’s soccer team.
He gives back to the community through his work with Imhotep
Legacy Program, a tutorial program for African-Nova Scotia
students at Truro Junior High and activities of NSAC’s
International Student Association.
“I love being part of a movement,” says Camara.
“Anything that involves significant or positive change
really gets me motivated.”
Mandy
MacDonald is a local student who comes to NSAC from Milford
Station, NS. MacDonald has just finished her third year
of a B.Sc. (Agr.) majoring in Environmental Studies with
a minor in Animal Science.
“It’s very exciting and flattering to be chosen
from such a large student population to represent NSAC,”
says MacDonald. “It’s a once in a lifetime experience.”
Serving as team captain for the past two years, MacDonald
plays on the women’s volleyball team at NSAC. MacDonald’s
commitment to agriculture and community development is highlighted
by her ten year 4-H membership.
Look out for these exceptional students as the bus takes
to the roads!
