Policies
NSAC encourages the use of computing and network
resources to enhance the learning and working environment of
the College community. However, access to the computing and
network environment at Nova Scotia Agricultural College is
to be used in effective, ethical and lawful ways that support
the values of the University. NSAC will endeavor to create
an atmosphere that balances respect for individual computer
users and University facilities while maintaining the ethical
and community standards of NSAC.
NSAC Computer Resources: The University computer resources
are defined to include but not limited to such devices as desktop
computers, laptop computers, monitors, hard drives, printers,
scanners, network devices, Personal Digital Assistant devices
(PDAs), network routers, network bridges, network switches,
servers, the College network (LAN, WAN and Internet gateways),
computer labs, software acquired by NSAC and relevant
data. This is extended to include any computer system that
is owned or managed by NSAC regardless of its location.
