Admission requires high school graduation with an average of at least 75 percent in five grade 12 university preparatory subjects, including English and math.
Applicants must also submit a Letter of Intent outlining their commitment to the program, reasons for applying to the program, and an explanation as to how the program relates to their personal and professional goals. In addition, applicants should list their volunteer and work experience to date, any international experience, and their hobbies and interests. All individuals applying to the IFB program must be available for a personal interview if requested.
Applicants whose native language is not English must provide official results from one of the following standardized tests:
- TOEFL - a minimum score of 550 or a minimum computer-based score of 213
- TOELF IBT - a minimum score of 80
- MELAB - a minimum score of 80
- IELTS - a minimum score of 6.0
