The Organization Today

In October 1985, the Atlantic Agricultural Hall of Fame was incorporated under the Nova Scotia Societies Act. The original Memorandum of Association and By-Laws are available. The objectives of the Society are:

  1. To accord recognition to persons who have made an outstanding contribution to Atlantic Agriculture. To prescribe standards of selection, provide suitable display facilities and provide appropriate ceremonies for induction and presentation.
  2. To do other things conducive to the attainment of the above objective.

Board of Directors consisting of two representatives from each Atlantic Province administers the affairs of the Hall of Fame. The annual meeting is held in October at the time of the induction ceremony. Minutes of the Directors' and Annual meetings (starting in 1999), annual reports and financial statements are posted on this site for the information of all.

A history of the first 40 years of the organization was created in 2008 for the anniversary celebration. It should stand as a good resource on the organization for some time.
