Science in the classroom should be fun and interesting for the children but also educational. This webpage was developed for a graduate level course on science in education at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College. In fulfilling the requirements of the course, a grade two class at East Stewiacke Elementary School (Stewiacke, Nova Scotia) was taught a science lesson about plants; including the parts of a plant, what plants need to grow, and why they are important. This lesson was also an example of how all seven multiple intelligences can be incorporated into a science class about plants. This webpage also contains links to websites containing educational material about science, specifically in the area of plants and agriculture. The activities and lessons can be used in a science curriculum that incorporates the seven multiple intelligences, as each focuses on a different aspect of learning.
