Hi! Glad you could drop by.

Can I offer you a cup of tea? Something stronger?

Now that you have something to drink, let me tell you a bit about myself.

My name is Lara Dawn Gibson, I'm 35 years old and currently live in Truro, Nova Scotia.

I wasn't born in the Maritimes, instead I grew up split between Montreal and Toronto. I did my undergrad in biology at The University of Victoria and graduated in 1996. Since then I’ve worked at a number of different jobs and in the summer of 2006 chose to go back to school. I’m now working on a graduate degree at the Nova Scotia Agriculture College, where my project focuses on Blueberries.

Oh, you’d like to know what my interest are?

Well, I have a close friend in Halifax who got me interested in graffiti. Since moving to Truro I haven’t had a lot of opportunity to photograph graffiti. I do think some of the pieces are art, and they should be photographed for posterity. If you see any good work, you should let me know.

In the fall of 2005 I took up masters swimming again. I swam competitively in middle school but by the end of high school I had moved on to scuba diving and lifeguarding.

Lets see, what else? Well I really enjoy reading and there are a few books I recommend.

You have to go? Well it’s been a pleasure having you. Please drop by again.
