Drive Away Hunger Food Drive

Did you know that almost 40 per cent of the more than 700,000 people who use a Canadian food bank each month are children? That's over a quarter of a million kids right here at home who regularly have to go hungry.

Farm Credit Canada has launched its sixth annual Drive Away Hunger program to reduce hunger across Canada. Each year, FCC partners with customers, schools, businesses, community groups and rural residents nationwide to support Canadian food banks.

FCC Drive Away Hunger tour will take place on October 16th at NSAC. One hundred per cent of donations go to Canadian food banks. Last year, this student-led initiative on campus raised approximately 2000 kgs of food and they hope to better this number this year.

If you would like to help make a difference - Donations can be dropped off in the Alumni office, Cumming Hall until Friday, October 16th.

Support your students and the local food bank. For more information contact Alisha Johnson at ajohnson@nsac.ca
