New Manager for the Research & Graduate Studies Office

Dr. Leslie MacLaren, co-president and vice president academic
of NSAC, is pleased to announce the appointment of Heather Hughes
as manager of research & graduate studies, effective September
2, 2008. Many on campus will know Heather from her previous
role as physics lab instructor for the Department of Engineering
at NSAC. |
Heather has a B.Sc. in Honours Physics from Mount Allison University
and a M.Sc. in Radiation Physics from Dalhousie University. Prior
to coming to NSAC, Heather was a sessional lecturer in Physics and
Astronomy at the University of Prince Edward Island (UPEI) for eight
years. More recently, she worked for the Faculty of Science as the
science promotions officer. This position gave her the opportunity
to promote the research and teaching activities at UPEI, skills
which she has put to use at NSAC.
As the Manager of the Research & Graduate Studies Office, Heather
will oversee the provision of research and graduate studies services
to NSAC faculty, staff and students. Welcome Heather!
