NSAC Graduate Students Recognized at the Annual Meeting of CSHS
Two NSAC graduate students were recognized for their excellence
in research at the annual meeting of the Canadian Society for Horticultural
Sciences (CSHS). The meeting was held in Montreal, Quebec on July
13-16, 2008.
Lara Gibson, a graduate student in the Department of Environmental
Sciences, received the CSHS Best Graduate Student Oral Presentation
Award for Ripening patterns at the field level in Lowbush
blueberry (Vacinnium angustifolium Ait.).

Lara Gibson receives recognition for the Best Graduate Student
Oral Presentation Award from Dr. Denis Charlebois, The Vice-President
of CSHS.
Ajit Pal Kaur Joshi, also a graduate student in the Department
of Environmental Sciences, received the CSHS Best Publication
Award. This award recognizes the best paper published in
2007 under the horticulture category of the Canadian Journal of
Plant Science.
Both students deserve congratulations for their outstanding achievements.
