The 23rd Annual NSAC “Rick Russell” Woodsmen Competition was held on Feb.9. Approximately 20 teams competed representing Colby College (located in Maine, USA), University of Maine, University of New Brunswick, Sir Sanford Fleming College, McGill’s McDonald Campus and, of course, NSAC.

The event ran all day and saw participants compete in events such as pole climbing, log burling and water boiling.

Corey McDonald placed second in the STIHL Intercollegiate Timberspots Challenge and earned a spot in the upcoming North American STIHL competition. Janette Archibald earned the title of women’s champion for her effort in the challenge.
