Not even the cold and snow of an early February afternoon could stop the excitement in the Atlantic BioVenture Centre as the Portable Modular Microfactory arrived at AgriTech Park. The portable modular micro-factory will be used for extraction of high-value bio-actives and nutraceuticals from agricultural crops.

Funding for the Portable Modular Micro-factory comes from the Science and Innovation Chapter of the federal-provincial-territorial Agricultural Policy Framework (Canada-Nova Scotia), the government of Prince Edward Island and several industry partners.
