NSAC Alumnus Authors Book
| Alumnus, John E. (Ted) MacNintch
(’56) has written and published a 780-page historical
novel titled "The Brother Keepers. The Great War Odyssey
of Sable MacInnes and his Brothers." The epic book
is loosely based on some of Ted’s Nova Scotia relatives
who fought in World War I. Those interested in further
information about his
book can reach Ted through his website
or e-mail him.

Alumni Gatherings in Ontario and British Columbia
Atlantic Universities Pub Night
Attention alumni in the Ottawa area! There will
be a gathering for all Atlantic universities’ alumni & friends
Thursday, June 5, 2008 at 5:30 p.m.. The location is Hooley's
Pub
at 292 Elgin Street
Ottawa, ON. There will be a live band and food and beverage specials.
Donations accepted at the door with all proceeds to Christie Lake

Kelowna Maritime Alumni Event
NSAC is proud to be part of the Kelowna Maritime
Alumni Event. Join us Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at the Quails’ Gate
Estate Winery in Kelowna, BC, for an evening of fine wine, fine
food
and a chance to meet new and old alumni friends from Maritime universities.
The evening will start with a private winery tour and tasting.

Research
NSAC Resarchers Seek Ways to Grow Maritimes'
Artic Char Aquaculture Industry

While Arctic char is a delicious
fish with a high market value, the worldwide Arctic char aquaculture
industry is still relatively small. A large, five-year research
project at NSAC is looking at ways to develop the Arctic charr
aquaculture industry in the Maritimes. More. |
Grad Research Day
| NSAC graduate students had a chance to showcase
the valuable work they are doing on behalf of the environment
and agri-food industry at the ninth Annual Graduate Research

CCAA Academic All Canadian Athletes Named

Sport Information Resource Centre (SIRC) and
the Canadian Colleges Athletic Association (CCAA) are proud
to announce the 2007-08 SIRC-CCAA Academic All Canadian Award
recipients. This year, a record, 149 student-athletes have achieved
combined excellence in collegiate athletics and academics. Three
NSAC students received awards. They are soccer players Leah
MacNeill, Jaclyn Mosher and Katrina Bennet. More.
