March 28, 2008 was achance to recognize the excellent athletes who study at NSAC. Co-President and Vice President Academic, Dr. Bernie MacDonald congratulated the athletes at a banquet held in Jenkins Hall. Bernie complemented the athletes in balancing a full course load in addition to a varsity athletic schedule and remarked that 36% of NSAC athletes are also honour students. He thanked Judy Smith, dean of athletics, and her team at the athletic department. Dr. MacDonald also recognized the team players behind the scenes: the coaches, family and friends, for their support that helps the athletes succeed.
