Jocelyne Couture-Nowak, wife of Jerzy Nowak, former Professor and Department Head at the Nova Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC) was a victim in the Virgina Tech shootings on Monday April 16th, 2007.

Dr. Nowak left NSAC in 2001 after 17 years to take on the role of Professor and Head of the Department of Horticulture at Virginia Tech. Mrs. Couture-Nowak who taught French for a number of years at NSAC in the Humanities Department was a French teacher at Virginia Tech.

A bursary will be established in Jocelyne’s name and donations will be accepted at the Development Office in Cumming Hall at NSAC. Phone  (902) 893-6721 or e-mail JJordan@nsac.ca.
