NSAC Foundation Officers
Serving as Officers are:
Dr. Bernie MacDonald (Treasurer), B.Sc., M.Sc.,
both of the University of Maine, Ph.D (West Virginia)
has served as associate professor, professor and Chair
of the Industrial Arts/Technology Education program
at the Nova Scotia Teachers College, he was appointed
Vice Principal of the NSTC and was recipient of the
Outstanding Teaching Award of the International Technology
Education Association for Nova Scotia. Dr MacDonald
is currently Co-President, Vice-President Administration of Nova
Scotia Agricultural College (NSAC), a position he has
held since 1994. In this capacity, Dr MacDonald manages
and supervises a wide range of administrative services
including finance; budget preparation and forecasting;
human resources and campus physical infrastructure.
Mr
Jim Goit (Secretary), BSc. MSc. both from the University
of Guelph, Guelph Ontario, has served the agricultural
industry in Nova Scotia since he joined the Department
of Agriculture and Marketing in 1976. Starting as a
Soils and Crops Specialists he was appointed Director
of the Soils and Crops Branch in 1986. He oversaw the
amalgamation with the Horticultural and Biology Branch
in 1991. Appointed Director of the Extension Branch
in 1995 he served with that branch until he was transfered
to NSAC as Executive Director of Development and
External Relations in 2000. Since coming to the NSAC,
Jim has worked to develop the fundraising potenial of
the institution and increase awareness of the NSAC among
a wide range of potential partners.
Ms Alisha Johnson,(Recording Secretary) Development Officer
After graduating with her Bachelor of Public Relations (Co-operative Education Route) in 2008, Alisha joined NSAC shortly after, in January 2009. As a student, she completed two of her required work terms at NSAC in various supporting marketing and communications roles. Alisha is responsible
for alumni relations and fundraising at NSAC. She also acts as recording
secretary and support for the Foundation. |
