This new specialized equine studies program has two goals for students like
you:
1. Providing you with the business education you need to operate
and/or manage an equine related business, and
2. Ensuring you have a solid background in equine science
This horse care program will not teach you how to ride, drive or handle
a horse. Our students must already have this knowledge and
experience. Therefore, there is a specialized competency requirement
for all students who apply for this program.
How to apply:
Along with a complete nsac application form you must include a completed copy of the Equine Competency Form
Equine
Competency Form
Please complete the first page yourself and have
the second page filled out by a knowledgeable person who
can evaluate your experience in the care and handling of horses
like an instructor, stable owner, or club leader. Then return
this form with your NSAC application to:
Office of the Registrar
Nova Scotia Agricultural College
P.O.Box 550
Truro, Nova Scotia
Canada B2N 5E3
After the Registry has received the attached Equine competency form,
your application will be processed and you'll receive a letter
indicating whether or not you have been accepted into the program.
If you are accepted, you will receive further information about
the program.
If you have questions you can contact Carollyn Crewe at ccrewe@nsac.ca or (902)893-6698.
