Copyright at NSAC

For over a decade, NSAC had a contract with Access Copyright which governed photocopying on campus. This contract allowed faculty, staff and students of NSAC to do limited types of copying beyond the "fair dealing" provisions of the Copyright Act.

NSAC is currently operating under a blended model for copyright compliance using NSAC's Fair Dealing Policy combined with the Access Copyright Interim Post-Secondary Educational Institutions Tariff, 2011-2013. NSAC will continue to pay FTE and course pack fees to Access Copyright until further notice but will be working towards the ability to function solely under the NSAC Copyright Policy and the NSAC Fair Dealing Policy.

The NSAC community should familiarize themselves with the Access Copyright Interim Tariff, NSAC's Fair Dealing policy as well as NSAC's official Copyright Policy.
