Atlantic Certified Crop Advisor Tutorial
Course Content
| Course Details
NOTE:
This course will not be offered in 2011.
This two
day course is intended as an intensive tutorial session for
those planning to write the Atlantic Certified Crop Advisor
Exam.
The course is taught by NSAC faculty and
specialists from the Atlantic region. Sections of the course
relate to four major areas of competency: Nutrient Management,
Soil and Water Management, Pest Management and Crop Management.
Course participants who are knowledgeable in all four competency
areas will be well prepared to write the exam.
Learning expectations for each competency
area are in two sets (Atlantic and International) of performance
objectives.
Study
Guides (both Atlantic and International) provide key information
about each performance objective; they are essential tools for
preparing for the exam. The Atlantic Certified Crop Advisor’s
Study Guide (2nd edition) is available through the Centre for
Continuing & Distance Education. This study guide was last
revised in 2001. The International Study Guide that we recommend
is entitled "Preparing for the 2006 International Certified
Crop Advisor Exam" and is available on-line from the Potash
and Phosphate Instutite at www.store.yahoo.com/ppi-store or
call the Circulation Department at 1-770-825-8084. This guide
is revised annually. We recommend that all course participants
review both study guides prior to attending the course to become
familiar with their content.
