This course is for beginner or welders who would like more hands-on practice. This course
covers the theory, techniques and shop practice of arc-welding
from project start to finish.

Instructor
Scott Read is currently a Machinery Systems Technician with the
Department of Engineering at NSAC. With over 10 years experience
operating farm machinery, he also has extensive hands on knowledge
of welding, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, setting up automation
controls, electronic components and design. Scott currently prepares
and teaches labs in welding and metal fabrication, agricultural
machinery and horticultural engineering.
Course Details
What to Bring:
Participants are reminded that sparks may damage clothing
so please dress appropriately. Boots are required; sneakers
are not appropriate footwear.
Note:
A minimum number
of students is required for each course. The “decision
deadline” is the date on which courses with insufficient
enrollment will be cancelled.
